Indian fashion designer James Ferreira is all set to open the 9th edition of India Runway Week on October 6 here.
James Ferreira, who is known for his predominance in western silhouettes with subtle non-literal infusion of Indian elements, will present his 2017 resort wear collection at the three-day event.
He will open the day with casuals in his "intoxication" print interspersed with cool cheese cotton white drapes followed by an organic cotton range.
His cocktail wear collection features short sexy dresses in solid satin and georgette, printed and pleated fabric fashioned into asymmetric shapes.
In his collection of evening wear range of shimmer georgette is embellished with metallic tubes and features t-shirt, skirts and gowns.
Kiran Kheva, Fashion Director said, "We are happy to have James Ferreira is onboard for the opening show of season 9 of The India Runway Week, he is a dream designer to work with and for young emerging designers of our platform, and it's going to be a great learning experience."

The India Runway Week, which is among the top three fashion week platform of India, is a biannual trade event that is held especially for young emerging fashion designers in New Delhi.
