To mark India's 70 years of Independence from British rule, Auckland's War Museum in New Zealand, for the first time ever, is all set lit up in the colours of the Indian National flag.
According to reports, a cultural and food festival has been arranged at the Museum and a DJ would be playing music with impromptu dance performances in the backdrop of the tricolour-lit Museum.
Everyone has been invited to be a part of this historic moment as this is for first time ever in New Zealand that an iconic building would be lit up on the occasion of India's Independence Day.
To express their solidarity with Indians, the Auckland's Museum? took to its Twitter handle to say, "In celebration of Indian Independence tonight we will illuminate the Museum in the colours of the Indian flag. http://www.aucklandmuseum.com/whats-on/evenings/lighting-up-the-museum/indian-independence ."

World's most breathtaking waterfalls, Niagara Falls in Canada, will also be illuminated in the colors - saffron, white and green to mark India's independence.
Earlier this year, Indians were awestruck to see the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, similarly lit up in the tricolour on Republic Day.
According to a leading daily, Sibu Nair, who works as administrator in the University of Buffalo, New York, said "Niagara waterfalls will be illuminated in the colours of the Indian national flag on August 15 for 15 minutes, from 10-10.15 pm, New York time. We are very much excited about it."
On our 71st Independence day, India's ex Masterchef judge Vikas Khanna will also be representing India at the United Nations headquarters.
The 45-year-old, who has been ranked alongside some of the greatest contemporary chefs and whose food is spoken about worldwide, took to his Facebook account and wrote, "So, here is the beginning of my speech for United Nations Headquarters
FREEDOM:
You can forge and blister my art
But you will never have my heart
You'll never know what makes me
Where my resilient soul takes me
You can't hide me in the darkness
Taking advantage of my starkness
I'll turn the shadows into bright light
I will burn again in the eclipsed night
Wherever you will end me, I'll begin
You fear my hopeful eyes & power within
MOTHER INDIA WILL RISE!!! ??
On the eve of Independence Day, President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the nation for the first time. The President emphasised the New India dream, saying, "In the year 2022, our country will complete 75 years of Independence"
