The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the registration process for the Civil Services Exam on its official website. This year, UPSC has announced a total of 796 vacancies in Indian Civil Services such as IAS, IPS, IFS and other posts.
Candidates who are willing to appear for the UPSC Civil Services exam this then, they should carefully read the official notification released at upsc.gov.in.
UPSC conducts the Civil Services examination every year to recruit IAS/IPS/IFS officers at all India level.
The selection for the post of Civil Services will be done through different phases like the IAS prelims exam, IAS mains exam and Interview round.
UPSC has already released the IAS examination date on its official website earlier. The prelims will be held on May 31st, 2020 and IAS mains exam will be held on September 18, 2020.
The registration process has begun from February 12 and will close on March 3, 2020.
Candidates who will qualify all the three rounds of the exam will be selected for the post of UPSC Civil Services.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have passed Graduate Degree in any discipline of University/Institution established or incorporated by an Act of Parliament or declared a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956
Age Limit Required:
The minimum age limit required to apply for civil services exam is 21 years and the maximum age limit is different for different categories:
• General: 32 years
• OBC: 35 years
• SC & ST: 37 year
• PwD: 42 Years
Number of Attempts:
Candidates who are planning to appear for the Civil Services without doing much practice then he/she should know the number of attempts.
• General: 6 Attempts
• EWS: 6 Attempts
• OBC: 9 Attempts
• SC & ST: Till the Age limit
• PwD: 9 Attempts for OBC; Till the Age limit for SC/ST
IAS Application Fee 2020:
- For General, EWS, OBC: Rs 100
- For SC, ST, PwD, and Female: Nil
