SSC JE 2020: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a job opportunity for the post of junior engineer (JE) on its official website. Interested candidates should check the eligibility criteria, examination pattern, and other important details related to the latest recruitment drive of SSC.
The Commission has invited online application for the post of JE in civil, mechanical, electrical, and quantity surveying and contract streams.
The application process has started and the last date for online registration is October 30. Candidates can submit their application form at ssc.nic.in. Aspirants can make payment online till November 1 and send their offline challan till November 3, 2020.
Candidates who want to apply for the post will have to qualify the computer-based test that will be held from March 22 to 25. Candidates who will clear the first stage exam will be called for Paper-II (exam dates are yet to be released).
SSC JE Recruitment 2020: Vacancy Details
Eligibility Criteria:
Education Required: Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant stream of Engineering. Also, applicants having a three-year diploma with two years of work experience can also submit their application form.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit required to apply for the positions at Central Public Works Department (CPWD) is 30 years while the age limit for Central Water Commission is 32 years.
While applicants belonging to the reserved category will get the age relaxation as per the rules of the government.
SSC JE 2020: Exam pattern
Candidates need to appear for Paper-1 and Paper-2.
The paper-I will be a computer-based exam that consists of 200 questions for one mark each in two hours. The paper will consist of 50 questions each on general intelligence and reasoning and general awareness.
The third section will comprise of 100 marks and questions will be based on the engineering-specific field related question. Aspirants who will qualify the exam will be called for a descriptive type paper which will be a written test for 300 marks. Candidates will have two hours to clear the exam.
Salary Details:
Candidates who will qualify the exam will get a salary in the range of Rs 35400 – Rs 1,12,400.
