The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification on 19th June 2018 that the online application process for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) will not be going to start from 22nd June. The reason behind the delay is due to the administration direction to CBSE. Therefore, the new dates for the online application form will be released soon on the official website.
Earlier on 17h June, HRD Ministry had notified to CBSE that CTET 2018 examination will be conducted in all 20 languages including Hindi, English and Sanskrit. There were also reports that CBSE might be approaching the High Court for seeking more time to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

Earlier, CBSE had clearly notified that the examination schedule for CTET exam will be announced only after the decision announced by the Delhi High Court in April to conduct the exam within four months. However, CBSE had conducted CTET exam in 2016.
The issue regarding the language was raised when applicants pointed out that the language options for CTET this time were limited to English, Hindi and Sanskrit. While political parties in Tamil Nadu considered it as an attempt to impose the languages like Hindi and Sanskrit on the state.
Previously, the Board had to conduct the CTET 2018 exam on 16th September 2018. While the online application process was to start from 22nd June 2018 and the last date for submitting the form was 21st July. But after the decision of HRD, the exam schedule has raised the questions that when will be the dates announced?
