IPL 2018: The legends that went unsold this season

With the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League just a week away, the air in the Indian cities already smells of cricket and with the popularity of the Indian Premier League growing steadily in the country, the excitement around the tournament is at an all-time high. 1. Ishant Sharma

 

The player from the Delhi has played 76 IPL matches in which he took 59 wickets at an economy rate of 8.17, his best figures being 5/12. He performed amazingly in the initial seasons but last few seasons saw his form dwindling. The pacer went usnsold this season, his base price was set at INR 75 lakhs.

 

2. Dale Steyn

 

The legendary South African bowler went unsold this time. The player has been facing the injuries lately, a reason that may be attributed to the pacer going unsold.

 

3. Varun Aaron

 

In the last edition of Varun Aaron was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for Rs 2.8 crore. However, he could not perform up to the expectations and that might be the reason behind his not being sold this season.

 

4. Irfan Pathan

 

Pathan is one of the best all-rounders in the IPL and his stats confirm the fact. Pathan has prove himself as a batsman and an equally good bowler. However, he couldn't perform upto the mark since last few seasons.

 

5. Praveen Kumar

 

Praveen kumar, in his 119 IPL matches scored 344 runs at a strike-rate of around 109. The UP player whose base price was kept at RS 50 lakh went unsold this season
