IPL 2018: Jasprit Bumrah all set to 'Gumraah' batsmen after a long break for Mumbai Indians

IPL is finally here and the much-awaited event is going to witness its first match clash that will have CSK and Mumbai Indians fighting for their first win. Also, the Opening ceremony will take place today. Various Bollywood stars including India's very own Greek God will perform to set the stage on fire along with Varun Dhawan and others.

IPL comes with awesome performers from the whole of the world. World class pacers and batsman from all over the world come to India. But, this time around, it will be an Indian dominated pace performance for most of the time, given the number of world-class bowlers India has come up with in last few years. One such player is Jasprit Bumrah who can prove to be lethal for batsmen. The death over specialist is playing for the defending champions Mumbai Indians this time. Bumrah has been on break for some time. However, now he has come back and announced his arrival as well.

"I was on a break. I bowled a lot of overs in South Africa, had played continuously throughout the year. I was at NCA and not sleeping at home. It was a good break and was necessary. The hunger is back and it is good to be back (playing cricket)," Bumrah said ahead of Mumbai's IPL opener against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.

"I have played against CSK before. It's good to play against India teammates," said Bumrah who has already hit 47 players out in 46 matches for MI in his three years journey in IPL.

"A clear mindset and control are very important. Even if you have six varieties, if you are not able to execute on a given day it's no use," said the World No. 1 bowler in T20I.

"I think he is a complete bowler. The first thing you talk about him is his yorker. He has also got a good bouncer, moves the ball both way and hits the wicket hard. He has got a very good slower ball and a very good read on the game. The more he plays at the international level he is going to get better and better and is a big asset to Indian cricket," said the former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond who used to clock 150 kph in his prime.
