IPL 2018 is yet to start and KKR is dealing with a major blow already. Team's star bowler Mitchell Starc is out from IPL season 11 because due to an injury. Mitchell was hurt while playing against South Africa, he has injured his right leg. Mitchell will not be able to play the fourth Test match against South Africa, He will also not be able to participate in IPL season 11.
Notably, KKR bought Mitchell Starc for a whopping sum of Rs 9.40 Crore. Mitchell Starc is the base to KKR's bowling attack. The team has already been through a tough phase after one of their leading bowlers Mitchell Johnson was hurt in his head and this has brought his ability to play IPL 2018 under suspicion.
Mitchell could not participate in the last IPL because of his injuries and he has again fallen prey to injuries, this season. KKR bought Mitchell in the hopes of him performing exceptionally for his team and this is evident from the kind of money KKR paid to get Mitchell Starc. However, the team still has lot weapons in its arsenal of bowling attack including Vinay Kumar, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti but Starc will obviously be missed a lot and his absence as the lead bowler for the Knights will obviously hurt the performance of the team.
After, the dismissal of Mitchell Starc from the team, the team management is trying its best to get a replacement for him. However, team's captain Dinesh Karthik will now be hoping for the best for his team.
