Hyderabad: Man drowns 8-month-old son to death as he suspects his wife of infidelity
In a shocking incident reported from Telangana, a man allegedly drowned his 8-month-old son to death as he suspected his wife of infidelity. The incident took place in Shamshabad on Wednesday. The case became known after the man told his neighbour about the incident.
The 25-year-old accused, was identified as G Vikram Kumar, who hails from Thondupally village near Shamshabad and works as a barber. Five years ago, Kumar got married to Spandana. Who is a natiive of Shamshabad.
Not long ago, Vikram Kumar got suspicious of his wife and assumed that she had a love affair. On Tuesday, Vikram had an argument with his wife and at around 1.30 am, when the woman fell asleep, he picked up the 8-month-old kid and allegedly drowned him in the water sump.
Following the incident, the accused was not able to sleep and started walking around the house. While doing so, a neighbour of the couple saw the man and invited him to have tea at a nearby shop. While going to the shop, Kumar told the neighbour that he drowned his son in the water sump, The Times of India reported.
The neighbour took the accused man back to his house and woke his wife up. They picked up the boy from the water and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The accused man was taken into custody, on the basis of the complaint filed by, Spandana's uncle. Kumar was booked under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was produced before a court on Thursday.
