The doctor is associated with Hindu outfits, about which he keeps making statements.

Dr Arvind Akela, a Ghaziabad resident, has received threats of beheading through a WhatsApp call. He is associated with Hindu outfits, about which the doctor keeps making statements.

Akela got a WhatsApp call in which a caller warned him that he would be beheaded if he continued to support Hindu organisations,

"I got a Whatsapp call on September 1, with a display picture of a masked man. I took the call then and got another call the next day. The caller threatened to behead me since I am a staunch Hindu believer", Akela said, as quoted by ANI.

The Ghaziabad Police have lodged an FIR and the number, from which Arvind Akela received a beheading threat, is given to Cyber Cell for tracking the unknown caller.

"Yesterday a doctor came and complained that he had received a threatening call on WhatsApp. FIR has been registered. We've given the number to the cyber cell for tracking. He (the doctor) has not asked for security yet", SSP Ghaziabad Muniraj G said.

Further investigation is underway.
