Priyanka Chopra and Madhuri Dixit-Nene are finally collaborating. The two Indian actresses will executive produce a comedy series based on the latter's life.
The series is picked by ABC network which also launched Priyanka's acting career in the West with their show "Quantico", reported Variety.
The currently untitled single-camera series would follow the Bollywood star who settles down in the suburbs of America with her bi-cultural family and tries to bring her colourful lifestyle to an otherwise dull town. The series is based on the real life of Madhuri.
Sri Rao, a Bollywood writer and a writer for shows like "General Hospital: Night Shift," will pen the pilot and executive produce, as will Madhuri's husband, Sriram Nene.
Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper will executive produce through the Mark Gordon Company (MGC). ABC Studios will co- produce with MGC.
Priyanka, 35, will soon start working on the third season of "Quantico".
