Everything you need to know about Kit Harington and Rose Leslie's wedding

The Location

The wedding will take place at Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, which the Leslie family owns. Recent paparazzi photos of the secluded location show a tent has been erected on castle grounds, offering further clues that this is indeed Harington and Leslie’s wedding venue.

The castle has belonged to the Leslie clan for 900 years, Daily Mail reports. The actress’ father is currently clan chief.

The Mail also adds that the couple will exchange vows in the drawing room of the castle, which can accommodate up to 80 guests, so it’s possible the reception will follow in the tents.

The Ring

Rose Leslie gave us the first look of her engagement ring in October, when she was heading to the airport. On her left hand was a new rock: a cushion cut diamond on a gold band.

The Proposal

Both of them visited Iceland, and Leslie already had suspicions that the vacation would include a proposal, she told TV Week. But Harington surprised her by popping the question before their getaway.

"I was blissfully surprised when he dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him," she said. "We happened to be in the English countryside, which is kind of an area that I don't know that well. It was at night time under a beautiful blanket of stars. The man did well. It was highly romantic."

Harington also said of the occasion: "I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine, and I blew my load early."

The Guests

Their wedding will be a private affair as they've kept details about their wedding under wraps as well—including the names on the guest list. Although, GoT actors will be present on their special day. He even called up the producers producer and asked them to "factor in a Game of Thrones wedding," he said on The Jonathan Ross Show. "They have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down."

Some GoT stars have already been spotted traveling or arriving to Aberdeenshire, including Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Clarke.

The Invitations

It wouldn’t be a Game of Thrones wedding without themed stamps, right? Daily Mail reports that the couple sent out invitations with stamps featuring Harington as Jon Snow. (Royal Mail released a limited-edition series of stamps emblazoned with characters from the show this year.) The only issue with the quirky detail is that it might give away the private ceremony.
