UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019: Personality test postponed amid COVID-19 outbreak, new dates to be out soon

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has cancelled the personality test for the Civil Services exam 2019 due to Coronavirus pandemic outbreak across the country. The personality test was supposed to be conducted in March 2020 which has been extended to a new date.

However, UPSC will soon release the new schedule for the examination, therefore candidates should keep their eyes on the official website on a regular basis.


Earlier, UPSC was going to conduct the personality test or interview for the selection of Civil servants from March 23 to April 3, 2020.

For UPSC CSE Personality Test 2019, only those candidates are eligible who have qualified the UPSC Main exam 2019.

UPSC conducted its Main examination for Civil Services from September 20 to September 29, 2019. The result for the same was announced on January 15, 2020.

Due to this COVID-19 outbreak, selected candidates will have to wait for a few more days till the further notice released by the UPSC.

However, the UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination 2020 date has not been postponed yet. Hence, the prelims exam will be conducted as per schedule. No confirmation on the same is available for now.

Due to coronavirus outbreak, several exams, including CBSE, ICSE, ISC and state board exams, including JEE (Main) have been cancelled.
