UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019: Application process for over 300 vacancies to end on 20th May; here’s how to apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online application form for over 300 vacancies under the recruitment for the post of Assistant Commandant. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form which is available on the official website of UPSC.

The application form for the post of UPSC CAPF can be submitted till 20th May 2019. Whereas the application process for the same was started on 24th April.


Under the recruitment of UPSC CAPF, the vacancies that will be filled in the department of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

In the official notification, the more details about the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) mentioned by the Commission, which can be read on the official website of UPSC.

UPSC would conduct the written exams for the post of CAPF Assistant Commandant that will be conducted on 18th August 2019 across the country.

  • CRPF: 108 Posts
  • SSB: 66 Posts
  • ITBP: 21 Posts
  • BSF: 100 Posts
  • CISF: 28 Posts

Age limit required for the post of Assistant Commandant:

The minimum age limit to apply for the posts is 20 while the maximum age limit is 25 years.

Dates to remember:

  • Application process begins: 24th April 2019
  • Last date to apply for the post: 20th May 2019
  • Admit card releasing date: 31st July 2019
  • UPSC CAPF Exam date: 18th August 2019
  • Result declaration date: 18th September 2019
