The Uttar Pradesh Board has announced its result for Class 10th and Class 12th on 29 April 2018. This year pass percentage in government schools was 72.29% while in aided schools, there were only 71.55%. Besides this, a shocking news comes to light from UP’s 150 schools where no students passed in the Board examination.
As per the reports, there are 98 schools where no students could be able to passed Class X, while in 52 schools, the passing percentage in Class 12th is zero. UP’s Ghazipur district is on the top where 17 schools and nine schools in Agra, where the passing percentage record was very bad.
According to the reports of TOI, Agra district inspector of schools, Vinod Kumar Rai said that no students could able to pass in nine schools in Agra district. However, seven schools are there were data shows zero students passed in high school and two in intermediate. This data comes out only for this year and there is no registered passing percentage figure of last years. The Police official also told that some steps would be taken to raise the academic standards in schools by considering the poor performance in UP Board exams.
This year very strict actions have been taken by the UP government during the examination so that no malpractice might occur at the examination centres. Because UP Board has to face the criticism for the practice of cheating during the Board exams.
The Uttar Pradesh government has taken the step to control such situation by installing the CCTV camera at the examination centres. As per the reports, around one lakh candidates didn’t appear for the exam and stepped back.
