The examination dates for the UGC-NET exam is out now. According to the official notification, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) in May 2021. Interested candidates can apply for the UGC NET exam from today onwards.
The Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the dates of the NET exam today. The exam will be held on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17 May 2021.

The NTA UGC NET is a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. The online application process has already started on nta.ac.in or ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The online registration window will remain open till March 2 while the fee payment window will close on March 3.
According to the circular from the National Testing Agency, "The candidates who desire to appear in the test may see the details the information bulletin for UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021), which will be available on the official website from February 2."
UGC NET 2021: Selection Criteria
Candidates who will clear the NTA UGC NET exam will be eligible for the post of an assistant professorship, Junior Research Fellowship, or both, for Indian universities and colleges depending on the merit.
NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice every year. However in 2020, due to coronavirus, the June 2020 exam got postponed to September 2020 till November 2020. While the December 2020 cycle had also been postponed and will now be held in May 2021.
