After spending over two years at home due to coronavirus outbreak, students’ life is back on track as the offline classes have been started again. Also, the board exams and other competitive examinations are being conducted offline mode.

The pressure to score good marks is very high among students as they have to prepare simultaneously for their board exams and other competitive exams.


To overcome such exam pressure, students need some counselling or some tips that can help them in maintaining a balance between both board exams and competitive exams like JEE Main, CUCET, CLAT, NEET, and other entrance exams.

The class 12th students might be facing a lot of difficulties as they have to prepare for both exams, i.e. board, and competitive exams. Due to the time limitation and increasing competition, students need to synchronize preparation so that they can score well in all exams.

Various competitive examinations will be held immediately after the Class 12th board exams such as JEE Main, CUET, NEET, and other exams.

It has been reported several times that some students score well in board exams but failed to secure passing marks in competitive exams, and vice-versa.

1. Preparation Strategy

Many students don’t want to chalk out their plan for their exam preparation which is absolutely wrong. One has to plan a proper strategy like how much time you should give for your board exam preparation and entrance exam preparation.

2. Attempt Mock Test

It is important to test your knowledge by attempting mock test series available on the market or social media. Don’t do cheating while answering the question because it will affect your exam preparation.

3. Don’t panic

Never think that you can’t do anything in your life or this is impossible for you. While preparing for any exam, it is mandatory to stay confident and motivated. Start your preparation with a positive mind and if any negative thought is coming to your mind then take a break for a few minutes and talk to your family member or your friend who can give you some motivation.

4. Make your notes

Be it for board exams or entrance exams, notes play a very significant role while revising important topics. So, keep a diary along with you and jot down the important points that help you in understanding the topics properly.

5. Solve previous year's papers

This practice will help you in understand the examination pattern and also you will understand that are you prepared for your upcoming exam. Try to solve the paper in the given time slot because this will also increase your habit of answering a question and will also make you understand the value of time while appearing for any exam.
