It must be a shocking news for the aspirants who are planning to do a government job under the Uttar Pradesh government. As Yogi government has cancelled the recruitment for the post of teachers.

Yes, UP government has cancelled the recruitment for the Urdu teachers in Lucknow. The recruitment should be done for the selection of 4000 vacancies for the post of Urdu teachers which was started in the governance of Akhilesh Yadav, the former Chief Minister of UP.

However, this recruitment has been cancelled after the announcement made by the Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh.

The recruitment had to be started under Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board or Uttar Pradesh Basic Shiksha Parishad.

Here’s why the recruitment has been cancelled:

The reason behind the cancellation of the selection is that the department has already enough Urdu teachers, therefore, further recruitment is not necessary.

Earlier in 2016, the Akhilesh government had released the total posts for teachers in UP were 16,460 and out of the total posts, 4000 posts were for the selection of Urdu teachers.

The recruitment for Urdu teachers was started on 15th December 2016 in the state for primary schools under the Akhilesh government.

However, the online application process for the posts was started from 23rd December 2016 and the last date for the submission for the application form till January 2017. Also, the counselling date was announced in March 2017, but the recruitment was stopped as the government was changed after the elections.

Earlier on 23rd March, the Yogi government has stopped the recruitment process and didn’t forward for one year, said Amar Ujala report. Due to which the candidates knocked on the door of High Court and filed the petition.

Later, the High Court instructed the Basic Education Department to complete the recruitment process.

But, now, the Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education Department, Prabhat Kumar, on Monday, said that there is no vacancy for the post of Urdu teachers.

The government will also file a review petition against the decision of HC, said Navbharat Times reports.
