NEET 2022: List of important events students must know

List of some major events related to the NEET exam that students must know

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on July 17 and even after a month, students are eagerly waiting for the provisional answer key. Around 17 lakh students participated in the exam. 

We have made a list of some major events related to the NEET exam that students must know.


 Provisional answer key, question paper and OMR sheets: As the exam is over, the Agency will now release the provisional answer key, response sheets and question paper on its official website. So students are advised to keep checking the site. 

Window to raise objections: Students will be allowed to raise their objections (if any) against the provisional answer key. They can challenge the answer key online by paying a fee. 

Review of objections and final answer key: After the submission of objections against the answer key, the NTA will revise the objections and after that, the final answer key will be published on the official website.  

NEET result, cut-off and rank list: After releasing the final answer key, the Agency will declare the NEET result and cut-off marks for medical admissions. Meanwhile, the all-India rank list will also be sent to counselling authorities. The NTA’s part in the NEET exam ends here. 

AQI, State quota counselling registration: Now the counselling authorities start their work. The state and central counseling authorities prepare rank lists for 85 percent state quota and 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Meanwhile, the registration for counselling will also start and students will be allowed to exercise choices of their preferred medical colleges.

Provisional allotment result: Next, a provisional allotment list will be publishez by Counselling agencies on the official website and selected students can apply for admission. 

Reporting at the allotted colleges: Students report to the allotted colleges to complete admission formalities.
