Good news for NEET aspirants! Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has announced for the NEET candidates who have to travel outside their state for appearing for the medical entrance examination.
Prakash Javadekar has announced that more examination centres would be set up in the states of India on the basis of the requirement. This decision of HRD Ministry will surely give the sigh of relief to the candidates who are going to appear for the NEET exam in the 2019 session.
This announcement has been made by Javadekar because of the several complaints have been made by the NEET aspirants this year who have to travel for their medical entrance exam in other states. Especially from Tamil Nadu, the complaints were registered to the Ministry as well as the CBSE which conducts the national eligibility-cum-entrance test every year.
Even Mamta Banerjee also wrote the letter to the Ministry regarding this situation because candidates belonged to the poor family faced more difficulties to appear for the exam.
HRD Minister made this announcement during the event held at Indian Institute of Technology-Madras where he marked the conclusion of the grand finale of the First Hardware Hackathon edition of Smart India 2018.
Prakash Javadekar told PTI that ‘next year, students travelling to other parts of the country would not happen.’
This year, NEET exam was conducted on 6th May 2018 across the country. The result for the medical entrance exam was declared on 5th June 2018. The topper of NEET exam 2018 was Kalpana Kumari, who scored 99.99 per cent in the exam.
