AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) candidates are required to qualify the NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) 2018 from this year. Central Council of Indian Medicine has issued the letters to Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries of all States and announced that there will be a single entrance test for the AYUSH courses also.
The online applications for the CET-2018 have been opened by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Therefore, KEA has reannounced for the AYUSH candidates to appear for the NEET, not CET.
So, from this year every student who is willing to get the seats in AYUSH, will definitely have to appear for the NEET 2018 exam.
Although, CBSE to release the application form for undergraduate courses at various medical colleges, institute and universities throughout the country on its official website at cbseneet.nic.in. The board has also circulated the notice regarding the date of exam i.e. 6 May 2018 (Sunday).
