The University has recently released a list of documents and certificates required for the admission process.

The admissions process for undergraduate (UG) students at Delhi University is expected to start in September 2022. The admission portal for the academic year 2022-23 has been launched, which provides an information bulletin and other relevant details.

The University has recently released a list of documents and certificates required for the admission process.

List of documents required for DU UG admission 2022:

  • Class 10th mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12th mark sheet and certificate
  • Graduation or another qualifying exam mark sheet
  • Category certificate (if possible)
  • Valid email ID and mobile number
  • Date of birth
  • Address proof
  • SC/ ST/ PWD certificate (if possible)
  • Scanned photograph and signature
  • ID proof (i.e. Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, driving license etc.)

This year, the University has changed its admission process and moved from the traditional cut-off mark-based admission process, based on Class 12 board exam marks, to the entrance examination-based admission process. So from now on, students who are seeking admission at Delhi University will have to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG.

Recently, the University issued a notification and listed important documents required to register for UG admissions. It also notified students to be ready with the listed documents by August 31. This would indicate that DU intends to start the admissions process in September.

So, students, who want to take admissions at Delhi University, are advised to check the admission portal regularly after the announcement of the CUET UG 2022 result.

What happened in 2021?

Last year, several states and central education boards cancelled the Class 12 examination due to the COVID-19 pandemic and used alternate methods to prepare results. Due to this most of the students acquired high marks in Class 12.

Hence, the cut-off marks at prominent colleges of Delhi University increased significantly. The first and second rounds closed with cut-off marks as high as 99 or 100.

So, to tackle this issue, the University decided to switch to entrance-based admissions from 2022.
