CLAT Exam 2021 Postponed: Online registration last date extended; check new schedule

CLAT exam postponed due to COVID-19

CLAT 2021: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has postponed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 exam due to the surge in Coronavirus cases in India.

Another update for CLAT aspirants is that the last date for the online registration form has also been extended to June 15, 2021.


Earlier, the CLAT exam was scheduled to be held on June 13, 2021, which is now postponed.

The decision regarding the postponement of the CLAT exam was taken in an Executive meeting of CNLU on May 15. After the meeting, the official notification was released by the CNLU.

According to the notification, the CLAT exam is postponed after reviewing the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country and keeping in the view of the health and safety of all stakeholders of CLAT.

Meanwhile, the new date of the CLAT exam will be notified soon. Further, the last date for online registration has been extended. Therefore, candidates who have not applied for the CLAT 2021 exam should apply before the closing of the registration window.

Here’s how to apply for CLAT 2021 Exam:

1. Visit the official website of CLAT at consortiumofnlus.ac.in
2. Click on the registration link for CLAT 2021 exam
3. Submit your details to generate login id and password
4. Login with the generated login credentials
5. Submit your details asked on the page
6. Make application fee payment
7. Submit your application form
8. Download your application form
9. If required, take a printout for further purpose
