The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon make an important announcement on the pending examinations for CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 board exams 2020.
Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development (HRD) is thinking upon whether to conduct the remaining exams for CBSE Class 12 board examination for students in CBSE school abroad and also having a conversation to ambassadors or foreign education ministers to suggest some reasonable solution in the view of the COVID-19 across the world.
Reports also suggested that the HRD Ministry is also chalking out a plan by assessing that situation are permitting to conduct the examination or not.
Although CBSE had previously announced that it will not conduct the pending examination in foreign countries. Several queries have been received from students who are having concerned about their future aspects and also about taking admissions in foreign universities.
According to officials, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ''Nishank'' has sought feedback from representatives in different countries about the current situation there and the feasibility of conducting pending exams.
"Considering the different situations in different places, having a common solution is not practically feasible. However, if the situation has improved in some countries, it would be better to conduct exams at least there. For example, we have a school in Japan, if the situation is better in that particular area, the exam can be conducted," a senior HRD Ministry official told PTI.
"Modalities are being worked out for both situations. That if exams can be conducted in some places, how will they be conducted, and if not what will be the assessment pattern. We will soon have a final decision on all these aspects," the official added.
Earlier on Tuesday, Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the new examination dates will be announced within two days.
Moreover, CBSE will conduct the pending examination for main subjects only which are crucial for the percentage of the students and help them in taking the admission for their further studies courses.
