The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced to re-conduct the examinations for Economics (Class 12th) and Mathematics for Class 10th. CBSE
The decision has been taken by the Board after the rumours about the paper leak for the two paper went viral. CBSE has released the notification in which it has said that ‘the board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to uphold the sanctity of the Board Examinations and in the interest of the fairness to the students, the Board has decided to re-conduct the examinations in the following subjects. Dates for fresh examinations and the other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week.’
As per the latest reports, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has talked to Prakash Javdekar about the matter and has called it a serious issue.
CBSE on paper leak said that paper for the Board Examination for Class 10th and 12th will be sent through electronic mode from now onwards.
However, some teachers, parents and students are also planning to file the petition in the Delhi High Court for conducting the re-examination because of the paper leak news.
As per the reports, students and parents are also claiming about the paper leak of Class 10th Social Studies and Class 12th biology exam.
According to a senior MHRD official, the dates for the re-exam will be announced in due course.
However, CBSE has not announced the dates of the examination and also yet to clarify if the re-examination is only for the Delhi region or for all India. As per the reports, the Mathematics exam was circulated before the exam date i.e. on Tuesday night in other regions also.
