Anand Kumar who has gained popularity for his brilliant teaching skills and especially for his unique Super 30 batch, now gets an opportunity to visit Cambridge University.
Super 30 fame mathematician has been invited to speak at the Cambridge Union, the world’s oldest debating and free speech society at the varsity in England. As per the reports, he will deliver his valuable words to Cambridge students and faculty on November 24.
After receiving the invitation letter from Cambridge Union, Anandi said PTI on Tuesday, “it is a dream that has come true for me as I get an opportunity to speak where I once so much wanted to study, but could not go due to poor financial condition.”
He also told PTI that he had received an admission letter from the prestigious university, but he has failed to collect money for admission.
"It is a big thing for me. I recall my late father, who was so happy the day my admission letter from Cambridge had come and later he was crestfallen when he could not arrange money for it. I feel the invitation from the Cambridge Union has come wrapped with his blessings," he said.
About Anand's Super 30:
Anand's Super 30 batch is a programme which admits only 30 students from the underprivileged sections of the society at a time every year free of cost. He runs the batch of 30 selected students for the prestigious IIT entrance test.
The charitable venture claims to have churned out hundreds of successful IIT aspirants since it was established nearly two decades ago.
