A shocking incident took place in Nodia after fifteen baraatis, including the groom, fell into a drain after the bridge collapsed in Hoshiyarpur village of Noida’s Sector 52 on Saturday night. Reportedly, two children were also injured.
The bridge collapsed due to the dance of the wedding procession. The incident took place at around 9:30 pm when 15 persons, including the groom, were dancing on a small bridge, which collapsed all of sudden. Baraatis were dancing on the bridge which was built over a drain, connected the Olive Garden wedding banquet hall’s gate to its lawn.
As per the reports of Hindustan Times, the wedding procession had been dancing over the bridge for over 10 minutes, said eyewitnesses.

However, chaos had occurred at the location which was come in under control after the banquet hall owner paid Rs 3 lakh in cash to the bride’s family so the wedding resumed.
Moreover, the groom was identified as 35-year-old Amit Yadav, a businessman from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and the bride was identified as Sonam (32), a resident of Kondli in Delhi.
The bride’s father Phool Kumar booked the banquet hall on 9th February.
Noida Sector 24 police have been informed about the incident at around 9:30 pm that the bridge had collapsed in Hoshiyarpur village in Sector 52 and several people had fallen into a drain. Also, two children aged below 8 also got injured and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, no case has been registered, police said.
