Yuvraj Singh is playing a lot of club cricket these days as he is not playing for India. Recently the Punjab all-rounder donned the colour of Air India again for a friendly match against Maldives cricket team at the Ekuveni sports grounds in the capital Male.
The India-Maldives Friendship Cricket Series was jointly organised by Maldives sports ministry, the Indian embassy and the Maldives Cricket Board. Yuvraj Singh hit an amazing reverse sweep that cleared the boundary rope and went for a six.

Yuvraj Singh was part of the Air India team that played against Maldivian team, which included Maldives president Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and vice-president Faisal Naseem.
Yuvraj was part of the 2011 World Cup winning Indian team and played a pivotal role in helping India win the trophy. Yuvraj was honoured by the Man of the tournament award. But Yuvraj has found it hard to find a place in the Indian squad after his comeback.
The left-handed batsman last played an ODI on June 30, 2017 against West Indies while his last T20I match was against England on February 1, 2017.
Yuvraj Singh started 2019 on a decent note as he scored a fluent 80, playing for Air India against Mumbai Customs. However his team lost the match by nine wickets and the all-rounders knock went in vain. Yuvraj Singh was bought by Mumbai Indians for 1 crore after no team bought him in the Indian Premier League auctions. Yuvraj played for Kings XI Punjab in last year’s IPL.
