India’s World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni has distanced himself from cricket after India’s early exit from the World Cup 2019 in England. Dhoni had requested two month break from the BCCI and had gone for a 15 days stint with the Indian Army in August.
MS Dhoni was expected to return to the team in the recently concluded T20 series against South Africa, but was missing from the team.
Later, reports on MS Dhoni started surfacing that the veteran wicket keeper will also miss out on the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh next month and will only be available for selection from December onwards. But what is MS Dhoni doing now?
Not long ago, MS Dhoni was seen playing football with Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor in Mumbai. Dhoni is known for being passionate about football and also co-owns Chennaiyin FC in the ISL.
According to the reports, MS Dhoni is expected to make his return for the series against West Indies which is slated to take place in December.
In his absence, youngster Rishabh Pant has been keeping for the men in blue. He was also a regular in the playing IX in red ball cricket but lost his spot to Wriddhiman Shah in the first Test against the Proteas in Vizag.
