Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive but their batsman Riyan Parag was not so lucky. Parag was dismissed in the most unluckiest way possible.
In the 19th over of second innings, Riyan Parag was facing Andre Russell. Parag tried to play a hook shot off Russell’s bouncer but in the follow through he hit wickets with his own bat. Riyan was sent back to the dugout for 47 off 31 balls.

The 17-year old batsman from Assam played a fearless knock as his 47 runs included two maximums and five boundaries. The young batsman came into the Indian Premier League line-up after his stint at U-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018.
Riyan Parag is the first millennial to play both IPL and Ranji Trophy. Parag played his debut IPL match against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings against whom his father Parag Das played Ranji Trophy. Riyan was dismissed for 16 runs in his first match in the IPL.
Rajasthan Royals beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 3 wickets. Dinesh Karthik played a captain’s knock yesterday as he scored his highest T20 and IPL score. Karthik was unbeaten at 97 to take KKR to 175. Royals chased down the target in 19.2 overs with Jofra Archer finishing the game with a six.
Indian Premier League will host the final at Hyderabad on May 12 after shifted it from Chennai stadium because of a dispute for stands.
