Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi is coming up against the outrage of netizens after an old video clip surfaced of him stating that he broke a Television set at his house after he saw his daughter emulating an ‘aarti’ scene while watching an Indian show.
Afridi is questioned by the TV presenter that if he has ever broken a TV in anger. "I have broken the TV once. Broke the TV because of my wife. There were a lot of these Star Plus dramas that were quite popular. I use to tell my wife to watch it alone and not let the kids watch. Once I came out of the room and saw one of my kids copying an 'aarti' scene while watching a Star Plus show. I looked at her and then smashed the TV into the wall," Afridi replied.
The video was shared by a Twitter user and straightway went rife. Several users criticized the former Pakistan all-rounder for his statement.

This video surfaced in the wake of another Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar and Danish Kaneria grabbing headlines for some of their comments.
Talking on a PTV show ‘Game on Hai’, Shoaib Akhtar had claimed that there were players who didn’t want Kaneria in the Pakistan team because he is a Hindu, and that he was never given credit for his performance.
Kaneria supported Shoaib Akhtar’s claims, stating that there were a few players who picked out on him for being a Hindu during his time with the Pakistan team but never felt the urge to change his religion.
