Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma was fined 15 per cent of his match fee for breaching the model code of conduct. In a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma displayed an unruly behaviour after he was given out for leg before.
The incident took place in the fourth over when Rohit Sharma was given out for leg before by umpire. Sharma straight away went for a review and the decision turned out to be a fair call. Sharma was furious after the display board read out and as he walked back towards the dugout he hit the stumps with his bat and broke it.

This was Rohit Sharma’s 100th Indian Premier League as captain which Mumbai Indians lost after Kolkata Knight Riders put up a mammoth target of 232 runs on board. Hardik Pandya was the only batsman who scored runs for Mumbai Indians as rest of them couldn’t contribute much.
Shubman Gill, Chris Lynn, Andre Russell performed miraculously well as all three scored a half-century each. Shubman and Lynn gave a good start to Kolkata as they notched up 96 runs for the first wicket stand. Lynn was dismissed after making a fluent 54 off 29 balls. Gill scored 76 off 45 balls before being dismissed by Hardik Pandya.
Andre Russell fired up and scored 80 off just 40 balls. This was not the fastest innings for Russell but his 80 assured a victory for Kolkata as they defeated Mumbai by 34 runs. Pandya for Mumbai scored 91 off just 34 balls.
