The men in blue got the better of the West Indies by six wickets in the first T20I match of their three match series in Hyderabad on Friday.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli produced a scintillating knock of 94 runs not-out while KL Rahul also scored a half century as India chased down the target (208) with six balls to spare. Following the victory, The Indian spin wizkid Yuzvendra Chahal interviewed KL Rahul and congratulated him for going past 1,000 runs mark in the shortest format of the game.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to their official twitter handle to share the video of the conversation between the duo on Saturday. In the clip, Chahal asked KL Rahul, now that you have reached 1000 runs, do you know how many runs you are ahead of me in T20Is?
In response, pulling Chahal’s leg KL Rahul said: "I am 999 runs ahead of you”.
