Australia was on the driving seat on the third Test against New Zealand in Sydney by cumulating a score of 454 in the first innings. Marnus Labuschane hit his first double Test hundred as the New Zealand bowling attact were made to slog away on the second day of the Sydney Test.
However, it didn’t all go according to the Australian side with James Pattinson’s dismissal a testament to that. Neil Wagner dug one in short with Pattinson trying to take cover but the ball didn’t bounce as much as expected and Pattinson got into a bit of tangle. The ball hit the Australian’s shoulder then bounced off his glove and onto the back of his bat before hitting the stump.
