Charulata Patel, team India’s 87-year old ‘superfan’ who became an overnight sensation after India versus Bangladesh match is present at Leeds stadium to cheer for her favourite team. Indian skipper Virat Kohli went to meet his special fan after they defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs. Virat Kohli promised Charulata Patel tickets for future matches and he fulfilled it.
Virat Kohli wrote a letter to his special fan and gave her tickets for the match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted the picture of Virat’s letter to Charulata Patel and her enjoying the match in the stadium. BCCI wrote, “Hello Charulata ji. #TeamIndia captain @imVkohli promised her tickets and our superfan is here with us is in Leeds. #CWC19.”
Virat Kohli in the note to Charulata Patel wrote, “Dear Charulata ji, it is so inspiring to see your love and passion for our team and I hope you enjoy the games with your family. Lots of love and regards -Virat.”

India is playing against Sri Lanka today. Sri Lanka is out of the tournament and will look to end the tournament on a high while India, who have already qualified for the semi-final will look to go on the top of the points table.
