Indian team selectors have decided to give a break to the Indian skipper Virat Kohli due to his heavy workload. The 30-year-old batsman will not be a part of the Indian team for the final two ODIs against New Zealand.
Virat Kohli has been rested from the three-match T20I series as well. Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the absence of Delhi cricketer.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli took to his official Twitter account to share a picture of him with his wife Anushka Sharma, captioning the image, “Away we go”.

In Virat Kohli’s captaincy India won a Test series in Australia for the first time in 71 years and became the first Asian team to do so. Kohli and Co. also won their first bilateral ODI series in Australia by 2-1 earlier this month.
The Indian team has already sealed the five-match ODI series against New Zealand by 3-0. On Monday, India beat the Kiwis by 7 wickets at the Bay Oval. India will now play their fourth ODI on January 31 in Seddon Park, Hamilton.
