Many footballers have shown their support for the Indian team and its captain Virat Kohli ahead of their first World Cup match. Germany’s world cup winning player Thomas Muller recently showed his support for Virat Kohli and team India.

Thomas Muller took to his official Twitter handle to wish Virat Kohli and his team ahead of their World Cup match. Muller wrote, “I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He`s a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past #Cricket #GermanyCheersForIndia #esmuellert.”

Muller is only the third footballer to support Virat Kohli and team India after Brazilian footballer David Luiz and English and Tottenham Hotspur footballer Harry Kane.

David Luiz posted a video on social media wishing Virat Kohli and company good luck. Luiz in the video said, “Hello, Virat Kohli! Good luck for the World Cup and God bless you and your team. I am going to be supporting you. See you soon!”

Virat Kohli-led team India will start their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 before playing Australia and New Zealand. India will meet their arch-rival Pakistan on June 16 in Manchester.
