Virat Kohli & Co can still make it to the play-offs; RCB fans here's the answer

No team in the Indian Premier League have ever made it to the play-offs after losing six consecutive matches. In 2014, Mumbai Indians made it to the knockout stage after losing five matches in a row. Can Virat Kohli and Co. still make it to the play-offs? Yes, they can.

To qualify for the play-offs, the magic number is seven. That’s a maximum of seven matches a team is allowed to lose if they want to qualify for the knockout stage. RCB have already lost seven matches so they cannot afford to lose anymore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are now left with three matches and if they want to qualify, they will have to win all three of them. Out of three matches, two of them are at home. Their next match against Delhi capitals is an away one. RCB have not lost a match at Feroz Shah Kotla since 2010.

If they win the match against Delhi Capitals, they will have the comfort of Chinnaswamy stadium for the last two matches. Their second last match is against bottom ranked Rajasthan Royals and their last league match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

But it is not going to be easy for RCB as their key players like Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali. They will be leaving early because of international commitments ahead of World Cup.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are sitting at number seven at the points table with eight points to their name. They beat Kings XI Punjab to win their previous match by 17 runs. AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel and Marcus Stoinis played an important knock to help their team win the match. Navdeep Saini and Umesh Yadav did it with the ball.
