World fastest man Usain Bolt’s affection for Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is no secret. The legendary sprinter makes no efforts to conceal his inclination towards RCB. A few days before the start of IPL 2021, Usain Bolt wore the RCB jersey and tweeted to convey his best wishes to the side.
Bolt’s action didn’t go unnoticed. RCB skipper Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and the franchise itself took note of the tweet and responded.
In his tweet Usain Bolt also established his supremacy in his usual style as he wrote: "Challengers, just letting you know, I'm still the fastest cat around. @imVkohli @ABdeVilliers17 @pumacricket @RCBTweets."
Responding to Usain Bolt’s tweet, skipper Virat Kohli stated that there is no doubt about Bolt’s abilities.
“No doubt and that's why we've got you on our team now, tweeted Virat Kohli.

AB de Villiers replied: "We know whom to call when we need a few extra runs! @usainbolt @pumacricket."

The franchise went to the extent of inviting the Olympian to India.
“The Red suits you, legend! Next up, catch a flight to India. We’re waiting!” RCB tweeted.

Earlier, Varat Kohli and De Villiers had enmeshed in a genial Twitter banter that saw the South African challenging the RCB skipper for a race.
RCB had gone into the playoffs in 2020 but this time around they would want to better the performance and win the elusive trophy for the very first time. Their decision to bring in Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson in the auctions has added to the muscle of the squad.
