MS Dhoni faced a lot of criticism over the slow inning he played against Afghanistan and West Indies. Many cricket experts and former cricketers slammed Dhoni’s slow approach towards spinners. MS Dhoni faced 52 deliveries and scored just 28 runs against Afghanistan while he started very slow against West Indies too but picked up the pace at the end.
Jasprit Bumrah after the match said, “Sometimes it feels like he is batting slow but he takes his time. In that wicket, it was important to take time. He did it and took us until the end. 268 was a good score on that wicket. Thanks to him we reached there. His experience helps us in such situations. He absorbs the pressure and takes the game to the deep. Young players learn from him. It was a top rated innings according to me.”

Virat Kohli after the match said that MS Dhoni is a legend it is very unfair to question him after every match. Dhoni knows exactly what he wants to do in the middle. When he has an off game here and there, everyone starts talking. We always back him. He has won us so many games.
India defeated West Indies by 125 runs and is now the only team in the tournament who has a 100 percent win ratio. India is still unbeaten in World Cup 2019 and they will play their next game against England on June 30 in Birmingham.
