This Pakistani cricketer tested positive after consuming marijuana, says reports

Pakistani opener Ahmed Shehzad tested positive for doping, several reports in the media said on Wednesday. The PCB has confirmed a cricketer was found consuming banned but refrained from naming him.

Acoording to reports cricketers can be banned or dropped  for up to two years if found guilty of taking banned substances, depending on the nature of the case.
Earlier in 2015, Pakistani spinner Raza Hasan returned a positive test for cocaine and was banned for two years.

But Senior Journalist Zainab Abbas cited that Shehzad was tested positive for use of Marijuana.

 

The 26-year-old Pakistani opener Shehzad was recently played Pakistan's two-match T20I series against Scotland.


Pakistani cricketer had played for eventual Pakistan Cup champions Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In his domestic career Shahzad slammed three fifties and a century where he scored 372 runs.
