Australian teen sensation Oliver Davies has recently made a record of scoring six sixes in an over. Davies was batting for NSW Metro when he made a record breaking 207 off 115 balls.
Davies who made his hundred off 74 deliveries took just 39 balls to get to his double century. Davies smashed the record breaking 36 runs in an over against the Northern Territory bowler Jack James.
James was bowling the 40th over of the innings when Davies sent all six ball over the rope.
Davies achieved this feat on the opening day of the U-19 National Championship held in Adelaide. It was the most runs ever scored from a single over in history of the U-19 championships.
Davies in an interview to Cricket Australia said, "After the first two sixes I had it in the back of my head I wanted to give it a crack and it paid off at the end," said Davies, NSW Metro's captain.
“I was trying to target (the area) from forward square to cow corner and I was just getting down on the back leg, almost before it was even bowled, and trying to slog sweep them over mid-wicket" he added.
Sir Garfield Sobers, Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh are the few players to have struck six sixes in an over.
The first test between India and Australia will also be played in Adelaide, Australia on December 6.
