The much-anticipated match of World Cup 2019 will be played between India and Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester. The rivalry between the two nations and their fans is regarded as one of the best in cricket. Australia’s Steve Smith and England’s Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler confirmed that in an interview.
While their trip to India during the Indian Premier League, the trio was asked about the World Cup match that will see the most number of people in the stadium to which they replied, India versus Pakistan. They were then asked that which match will see the loudest cheer in the stadium and they replied, India versus Pakistan.
The final question was that which team will eventually win the clash between India and Pakistan. Steve Smith, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler said India. New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi also backed India to win the match, while West Indies bowler Oshane Thomas said Pakistan will win the match.
New Zealand is currently leading in the points table with 7 points from four matches while India is at number 3 with 5 points. The match between India and New Zealand was abandoned due to rain and both the teams were awarded one point each and remain unbeaten in World Cup 2019.
