As far as one can see, MS Dhoni who is not at his top form in the World Cup 2019, took 52 balls to score 28 runs and was stumped off Rashid Khan’s delivery, when he was supposed to get a move on.
However, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly came in support of Dhoni and said thet he is too good a batsman to be submissive for a long time and will definitely come back strong.
“At the end of the day, MSD is a very good batsman and he will definitely prove that in this year’s World Cup 2019 as well despite his sticky form against Afghanistan. It’s just one match,” said Ganguly.
MS Dhoni came out to bat while India were 122/3, although he didn’t have much impact in the game, India somehow managed to beat Afghanistan by 11 runs.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli, yet again showed his class with the bat scoring 67 runs in 63 balls, kohil got out in the 31st over. MS Dhoni than added 57 runs along with Kedar Jadhav, who knocked 52 runs off 68 deliveries.
India will go face to face against lucklustre West Indies in the next match of the World Cup on June 27 at the Old Trafford cricket ground.
