The international cricket body took to their official Twitter handle to lambaste former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar after the pacer claimed that even today, he can get Australian batsman Steve Smith out on the fourth delivery after three ‘hurting bouncers’.
"Even today, 3 hurting bouncers and i can dismiss @stevesmith49 on the 4th ball. Lol," Akhtar had tweeted on Monday. ICC countered him with a chain of images to subtly, but savage, troll Akhtar.
The initial image is of basketball legend Michael Jordan looking down as if he is reading something, followed by second picture—a screen shot of Akhtar’s tweet.
The third picture goes back to Michael Jordan again, but this time he is seen laughing.
ICC’s hysterical response left Akhtar’s fan in splits, as a lot of them shared a clip of the pacer being smashed for boundaries by several bastmen from his playing days.
Shoaib Akhtar is well known for making controversial statements, either on social media or on his YouTube channel.

Not long ago, Shoaib Akhtar posted a clip of him hitting Brian Lara with a nasty bouncer.
The 44-year-old has also got into some trouble after he criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board over the penalty given to Umar Akmal over his failure to report match-fixing approaches.
Calling for match-fixing to be a criminal offence, the pacer has stated, "the PCB and their legal team are being incompetent, why there is no legislation to criminalise match-fixing."
PCB's legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi lodged a criminal along with defamation case against Akhtar for his allegedly inappropriate remarks. Rizvi also registered a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency.
