There was havoc at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui in the fifth T20I match between the two heavyweights New Zealand and India on Sunday.
Tim Seifert and veteran Ross Taylor were putting on a turn for the better performance after the men in blue dismissed the opening batsman, Martin Guptill and Colin Munro, cheaply. Seifert and Taylor were unhurriedly reviving the innings as they created a solid partnership.
After nine overs, the Kiwis were 64/3. KL Rahul, who was leading the Indian team in absence of injured Rohit Sharma, brought in Shivam Dube into the attack.

Bowling his first over in the match, Shivam Dube bowled a length ball and Seifert ambled down the pitch to smash him into the stands at deep midwicket. The second from Dube was short and Seifert pulled him for another six. The third one was full and outside off but Seifert moved to the off-side and knocked it past Rahul for a boundary.
After a single was conceded off the fourth delivery, Dube bowled a no-ball and Taylor smashed him to deep square leg. However, Washington Sundar slipped and the ball went to the boundary. The free-hit was then dispatched for a six and the carnage ended when Taylor smashed yet another six to deep midwicket. With the sequence of 6,6,4,1,4nb,6,6, Dube gave away 34 runs in his over.
It was the second-most expensive over in the history of T20Is behind Stuart Broad’s six sixes during the 2007 T20 World Cup clash against India. Also, it was the most expensive over by an Indian player in T20Is, breaking the previous record of 32 runs set by Stuart Binny.
