India and Punjab Kings batsman Shikhar Dhawan had another impressive IPL season with the bat, but his team Punjab Kings did not make it to the Indian Premier League 2022 playoffs.
The left handed batsman, who had joined PBKS ahead of the start of the season, cumulated 460 runs in 14 matches at an average of 38.3.
Shikhar Dhawan, who is also well known for his funny social media posts, uploaded another clip on his Instagram handle as he tried to make his fans laugh.
In the video, the opener can be seen being playfully thrashed by his father while his family members try to stop him.
"Knock out by my dad for not qualiying for knock outs," Dhawan wrote.

In response to the video, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh commented: "Bappu tere se bi upar ka actor nikle.. kya baat hai."
Punjab Kings Harpreet Brar also commented on the post, saying: "Haha Uncle on fire pajii."
PBKS ended their season at sixth position in the IPL points table with seven wins from 14 matches.
The Mayank Agarwal-led franchise had kicked off the season on a high but their inability to stitch back-to-back victorys saw them miss out on a playoffs spot.
Regardless of his excellent showing with the bat, Shikhar Dhawan was snubbed by the BCCI for the India's upcoming T20I series against South Africa.
The men in blue will play five T20Is against the Proteas, starting 9th June.
