Sania received a lot of support from former Pakistani players after the sheesha fiasco. Many people alleged that the team with Sania Mirza was spotted at a sheesha bar. Sania’s husband Shoaib Malik is part of Pakistan’s World Cup squad and he was dropped after India clash due to his poor form.
Haris Sohail came in place of Shoaib Malik and has shown great consistency as he scored two consecutive half-centuries in a winning cause. Pakistan won the match as they restricted New Zealand under 237 runs and then chased down the target with ease.
Babar Azam scored his 10th ODI century in the game and in the process also became the second fastest batsman to score 3000 ODI runs.
