Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar is one of the best players to play the game of cricket ever. Sachin has many mind-boggling records to his name including the first batsman to score 200 runs in one-day international. Sachin has played under many captains during his 25-year long career and one of them was MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni is still playing for team India and he is also in the World Cup squad. Dhoni’s batting position has been a topic of debate for cricket pundits but Sachin Tendulkar has a number for him. Sachin Tendulkar has said that former India captain MS Dhoni should bat at number five in World Cup 2019. “That way the experienced batsmen are well spaced out and Dhoni can stretch the game towards the end where he himself can be explosive along with Hardik,” Sachin said.
MS Dhoni has been in great form in ODI cricket and as well as the Indian Premier League. Dhoni helped India win the ODI series in Australia by scoring three back to back half-centuries. Dhoni was also the highest run scorer for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2019. His team went on play the finals but lost to Mumbai Indians by just 1 run.
Team India will start their World Cup 2019 campaign against South Africa on June 5 under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.
