A well deserved commendation have been flowing in for Hima Das as she accumulated five gold medals in Europe in the span of one month and the latest one coming from Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. On Sunday, Sachin expressed his admiration for the 19 year old sprinter via tweet.
Hima Das’ recent gold came on Saturday in Prague where she recorded season’s best 52.09 seconds to win the gold in 400m at the Nove Mesto nad Metuji Grand Prix, her personal best is 50.79 seconds, which she claimed at Asian Games 2018.
Earlier, Hima had won gold in 200m at the Tabor Athletics Meet.

In her inaugural 200m race of the year on July 2nd, Hima had recorded 23.65 seconds to win gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland.
Subsequently on June 8th, Hima won her second 200m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland, where she was suffering from sore back, the sprinter had recorded 23.97 seconds to win the gold while Kerala’s VK Vismaya had clinched silver with a timing of 24.06 seconds.
On July 13th, she won her third gold in 200m at the Kladno Athletics Meet in Czech Republic where she clocked 23.33 seconds.
